I am no longer a Con Virgin!
I recently attended the 15th Annual Golden Crown Literary Society Conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Spanning five days, from 10 July 2019 to 14 July 2019, the conference is part of the Golden Crown Literary Society's mission is "to increase the visibility and integrity of lesbian themed literature."
My first time at the GCLS Con was fantastic and I tried to really lean in to the experience. Like the nerd I am I studied the registration list beforehand and when the opportunities presented themselves I strutted right up to anyone I recognized, called them by their first and last name, and introduced myself. I was assured that it was not creepy at all.

I participated in my first Author Spotlight with a reading from Gallows Humor with a fabulous group of other new authors which was very well attended and warmly received.

I was honored to be a part of the panel “So I had this idea…” moderated by Karin Kallmaker. This yearly panel features new authors who discuss the genesis of their story idea and how they turned it into a finished, published book. It allowed us the opportunity to share the story of how we got our start.
I’m already bouncing around panel ideas for next year with an author I met, and I'm very excited.

It truly was a fun event. We certainly had fun!
